Permit-less carry. What could possibly go wrong?

Genesis Amanie Rodriguez, 22, has been charged with deadly conduct after this video went viral of her firing a gun out a car window while riding through a West Bexar County neighborhood in Texas.

Permitless carry went into effect in Texas in 2021. #txlege

Thinking isn’t true. She was thinking something. Certainly she thought she was extra privileged.

Give her probation for her last five years if she spends them going around schools and youth centers telling young people bow badly it sucks losing a third of her youth doing something she never would have done until Governor Abbott and the Republicans in the Texas State Legislature enabled it.

of the physics involved. They assume the bullets do no harm if they're shooting into what appears to be empty space.

They started cracking down, in urban areas, on the ritual of firing guns into the air at midnight on New Years Eve. One year, it was assumed that 5 people were killed when bullets hit them from above, and could have only been fired straight up in the air.
I also remember a news story where they found a guy dead in his bed of a gun shot that had come through the wall of his apartment. From the angle, they decided that it could only have come from hundreds of yards away, and surmised that it had been fired from a field where people sometimes shot at targets.

None that I can see. States that have permits have reckless conduct also.

.. and not as a toy any idiot can play with.

Government regulations convey expectations of appropriate behavior, providing moral guidance.

in which the participants parked, got out of their cars and had a duel, in the middle of one of our busiest streets. Cars and businesses damaged but no one hit.
School started in parts of OK this week, 2 were closed by threats of shootings. It's either a very popular rumor, or unreported truth that one of the threats came from a parent outraged over the library not pulling books they wanted banned and the target was teachers and administrators, not students. The police however seem clueless (or consenting) no arrests were made.

Something stopped every one of those 20+ bullets, apparently she didn't give a rat's ass what. Perhaps the courts can teach her to care a little more.
