Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) had to pull out of a fundraiser for New York gubernatorial candidate Lee Zeldin (R) because of an unforeseen tragedy, the New York Post reports.
Said a spokeswoman: An unforeseen tragedy forced Governor DeSantis to reschedule his trip to New York. While were rescheduling with Governor DeSantis for a later date, tonights fundraiser will proceed and is expected to raise almost a million dollars.

(35,441 posts)I did a data project about fundraising in the 2012 presidential campaign. Romney was about even with Obama for total money raised in NY, but he did it with far fewer donors. He had about one third of Obama's donors but he raised almost the same amount of money in NY.

(5,229 posts)battled cancer last year. Saw her on tv the other day and she didn't look good. Hope its not her for his children's sake.

(16,169 posts)my wife had her battle with cancer in 2014 and is a survivor. I would not wish that on anyone but I would want the up close POV to change minds about healthcare and healthcare insurance.
