(8,387 posts)...an interesting fact about so-called "white tigers" and "white lions" is that they are so valuable as attractions that they are deliberately inbred in order to express the normally recessive gene which causes this mutation. Unsurprisingly, this produces a lot of linked recessive mutations, resulting in having to cull spectacularly deformed animals.

(8,387 posts)That the idea of humorously commemorating people's deaths through what may have been an expression of mental illness, lack of education, or even momentary bad judgment, might have come to be considered in bad taste.
Some people aren't very smart, and some very smart people do very dumb things. Sometimes, they die as a result.
