contraction of print journalism (papers and magazines closing all over the country, sadly and ironically because of what we're doing right now, getting news online), that option is kind of hit and miss. You kind of have to be in a big city that has enough advertisers to support good print journalism.

It's a grave time for print and I see little chance for a rebound. I worked for Newsday in New York and I remember back in the '90s with the advent of the internet when the newspaper industry struggled to try to monetize the content it produces for an online revenue stream.

It failed miserably for the most part, coming up with easily circumvented paywalls and few if any deals made for it's valuable content.
