The media needs to bring God into the equation
Science and rational discussion have no bearing on the Republican God's will.
We can't expect MAGATS to rationalize our arguments when the will of their GOD Trumps the laws of our government.
The media treats Republican talking points as rational when they do not care one iota about rational discussions. They're following the will of their God.
We cannot win them over. Our only recourse is to vote them out.
The media needs to bring their GOD into the equation. Compare the Christian God to the Republican God.

Your toast burning is Gods will. The piss poor power grid in Texas is Gods will. A runny nose is Gods will. Your lost coal mine jobs is Gods will. Solar panels are Gods will. A ford not lasting more than 5 years is Gods will. Toyotas lasting to 300k miles is Gods will. The bar running out of malt liquor is Gods will. Heck, pretty much EVERYTHING is Gods will. Yes????

Church cannot compare to a walk in the woods.
Nature and sun worship are the only religions that ever made any sense. We know those things actually exist, are awe-inspiring, and make life possible and worth living.
Personally, I'm with the ancient Egyptians. I practice Cat Worship every day and live to serve my fuzzy god and goddesses.

(37,160 posts)...a lot of blithe "Catholics aren't Christian" talk by evangelicals put where Catholics will hear it.
You want a wedge to stick into and divide the Religious Right, try that one.

(10,252 posts)There is no creator god. All things arise from previous causes and conditions. To say there is a creator god, begs the question: Who or what created a creator god?

(7,107 posts)There's nothing to show that a supernatural realm exists outside of the laws of science.
But, to meet these idiots on their own terms, if they think Trump was made president because of God's will, they most also accept that Obama was made president for the same reason. If they say "No, that was Satan's doing,' well then their god is one weak punk-ass deity if it can't overcome the power of some silly demon of its own creation.
