Am I Detecting Some Backpedaling From Talking Heads That Just Last Week Had TFG In Jail?....

In the last few weeks since the MAL search and the revealing of all of these Top Secret documents that TFG had in his possession that he stole from the WH - the cable news talking heads had TFG - indicted, prosecuted, convicted and jailed.

I don't know if it's just me - but today listening to some of them blow their lungs out on the cable news shows - I seem to be sensing some backpedaling by some of these same talking heads that appear to be backing down on some of their - last weeks - damning assessments.

Are they buying into the talk - that you can't indict a former president - that such a person is above the law?

Is it just me being very suspicious here or is there some second guessing going on now that these talking heads don't want to be held to their previous conclusions?

1. I haven't been hearing that much about him going to jail. The commentators I have seen...

have been saying he is going to charged/indicted sure but not going to jail.

Of course I don't listen to much of the pundits so maybe I missed that.

From Trump's behavior, he's freaking out.
Erratic messaging.

That is the most telling thing to me.
Trump himself knows he is in trouble.

He was hiding those documents for a reason and wasn't expecting them to show up and snatch them.

On top of that, he knows there are rats in his midst. That will drive him around the bend too.

4. Most people, not just in the media, are totally used to Trump getting away with all kinds of shit

The feeling that this immunity will end, that Trump will finally pay for his crimes, blossoms a little bit when new, damning evidence comes out.

But when a few days slip by, and the tiny cuffs aren't slapped onto Trump's tiny wrists, when no frog march ensues, the feeling that he is untouchable reasserts itself.

"All Americans are equal before the law" is clearly bullshit. A nice idea, but seldom true in practice. Any ordinary person would have been locked up long ago, before being able to get away with all the shit that, in a just world, should have Trump locked up for a few thousand years.
