when all is said and done. Make it a parking lot, or back to the swamp that that creature came out of. What a house of horrors that thing has become .... that's it, that's my post. Peace.

(10,271 posts)Under house arrest. INSIDE. I want it to be his 'library' and memorial when he's dead. I want his precious, precious golf greens BRICKED OVER with the names of the covid dead--one name per brick. And in the middle, I want his headstone..just a public urinal out in the open

(27,813 posts)It should be in the hands of a more deserving owner. Trump has dragged it through the swamp like everything he touches but it had a history before him and it will have one after him.
I hate that he lived in the White House, too, but I don't want it razed to the ground. I like that he has to see other people living in it, and I fervently hope he will be forced to see other people living in Mar-a-Lago.

(130,956 posts)'a resort and national historic landmark in Palm Beach, Florida, built from 1924 to 1927 by breakfast cereal company heiress and socialite Marjorie Merriweather Post.
At the time of her death in 1973, Post bequeathed the property to the National Park Service, hoping it could be used for state visits or as a Winter White House, but because the costs of maintaining the property exceeded the funds provided by Post, and because it was difficult to secure the facility (as it is located in the flight path of Palm Beach Airport), the property was returned to the Post Foundation by an act of Congress in 1981.
In 1985, Mar-a-Lago was purchased by D. . .'

(9,182 posts)In 1985, Mar-a-Lago was purchased by Donald Trump for around $10 million. He used the mansion as a residence for eight years, before converting it into the Mar-a-Lago Club. His family maintains private quarters in a separate, closed-off area of the house and grounds.[5]

Mar-a-logo is a national historic site. TFG didn't build it. He only acquired it in a sweetheart deal.
I doubt he'll be able to retain ownership once his legal battles are over.
Hopefully it will be used for better purposes in the future.

(7,107 posts)it deserves a good owner. I'm thinking some benevolent charity or institution should take it over and use it for the public good.

Ridiculous.
