However, rather than disgrace L. Frank Baum's wonderful creation through association, I prefer to think of "Ozymandias" by Percy Bysshe Shelley.

And I think Shelley would likely concur.

I thought he was so demeaning to his almost always women only audiences. But then again, the women in the audience usually acted like dummies and they were like a cult, similar to you know who. Some women thought he was so handsome and I just never saw that. I thought he was creepy looking.

21. I'm a doctor. I've seen the ones who seek to hustle for business on the Tee Vee and book tours.

They're a special lot. I'm not talking about the ones who give interviews or quotes to the local papers about some topic or whatever public health or side thing they're pushing (e.g. some free screening or school-based program). The ones who make money hawking something are pretty damn corrupt, attention-seeking, and even for doctors they lean steeply into the narcissism cliff.

We saw this with the idiot talking-head doctors who made asses of themselves in the opening weeks of the pandemic.
