And if you look closely, you can see the HCS marking for human source intelligence. https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.flsd.618763/gov.uscourts.flsd.618763.48.0.pdf

(25,983 posts)There's no escaping how real this is, how obvious it is that he should never, ever have walked away with documents like these, much less stored them in a poorly secured basement room next to the pool.
Rage. With a little nausea on the side at realizing the implications all over again.

The former Presidents counsel explicitly prohibited the government personnel from opening or looking inside any of the boxes that remained in the storage room

(25,983 posts)So are tfg, Kash Patel, and anyone else who was rummaging around in there who knew full well what they had. Also, isn't there video of boxes being moved from the storage room after tfg et al were told not to move them?

DOJ says FBI claimed his passports (before returning them) because they were in the same desk drawer as classified documents and the warrant authorized the seizure of "collectively stored or found together" documents.

DOJ says the government found "more than twice the amount" of documents with classification markings than Trump had previously turned over, including "over one hundred unique documents."

(25,983 posts)which papers were in the drawer with those passports. I doubt we ever find out the details, but I would dearly love to know.
You're right. He is so fucked.
Given the damning nature of the situation and the "terse" tone of the document, is it fair to say Judge Cannon is likely to drop tfg's request like a hot potato?

In some instances, even the FBI counterintelligence personnel and DOJ attorneys conducting the review required additional clearances before they were permitted to review certain documents

Its hard to believe but perfectly true that Christina Bobbs most recent tweet is about Hillarys emails. (Bobb is reportedly the Trump lawyer who signed a letter attesting that all sensitive documents had been returned - right before the FBI raid found 33 more boxes.)

For those asking:
HCS = HUMINT (Human intelligence)
SI = COMINT (Communications intelligence)
TK = not going to explain the letters, but Ill say that its IMINT (image intelligence)
Three of our most closely guarded secrets.

(4,992 posts)that even when enlarged cant be read. But couldnt someone with sophisticated equipment enlarge it, focus it, and thus have access to the pages shown here?? Why would they expose ANY of whats in these documents?? Or is whats shown just some elaborate statement about the confidentiality of the contents? Can anyone here read the type shown in the picture?
Im puzzled

(17,457 posts)All sets of classified documents will contain a cover sheet with screaming large fonts which warn of the classification level contained within the following documents.
Each document within the set will contain a large stamp at the top and bottom of the page, further indicating the classification of that specific page. (EDIT: See left side of picture, about halfway up from bottom, "SECRET" stamp at top of page. This will also be stamped on the bottom of the page).
In most cases, each paragraph within the specific page will also begin with a classification identifier, notated within brackets, if I remember correctly... [ ].
From what I can see, any actual information in the pictures has been covered up, leaving only the classification designation exposed for view.

(17,457 posts)There is no problem with the public viewing the cover sheets.
Many people are aware of the nomenclature used to define government classifications of information. You can even look that information up on the internet:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Classified_information_in_the_United_States
The cover sheets show no information that is not already available to the public. Cover sheets are simply warning devices that essentially say that before looking behind the cover, the person must be appropriately cleared. In other words, it warns the holder of the document "STOP, you must be cleared to view this".
If the person holding the documents somehow misses the glaring, obnoxious, over-the-top warning on the cover sheet, the actual contents behind the cover sheet are also stamped, top and bottom, with even more warnings that the information is not to be read unless 1) You have the appropriate level of clearance, and 2) you have a "need to know".
The DOJ has not disclosed any classified information by posting pictures of the cover sheets, and one document showing a "secret" header. Any actual information related to these classifications is whited out, as shown in the pictures.
Cover sheets and header/footer stamps are not classified information.

(17,216 posts)Could have sworn the "TK" designator was classified, but okay.

(17,457 posts)would make the same assumption that you did.
My belief is that the reason the DOJ posted those pics was to stress to the general public "hey folks, this is serious business".
I think the pictures served their purpose.

(17,216 posts)... who still aren't sure if something is still classified or not. So they err on the side of caution, because unlike DT, they took their jobs seriously.
In fact, there was (is?) a guy at DU (I forget whom, not Mineral Man) who worked on Corona back in the Day and still wouldn't say the name, even though it's been declassified (the name, that is) for decades.

(17,457 posts)classified information for a long period of time.
I probably sound like a broken record because I seem to be repeating this every day...
In order to view a classified document, you must have both: 1) the appropriate clearance to view that classification level, and 2) the "need to know" in order to see a specific document at that classification level. A top secret security clearance is not enough to be able to view a top secret document. You also need a reason for wanting to see that document.
This is why tfg's "defense" that he declassified documents is complete bullshit. A document is not declassified until it is MARKED as being declassified. It is not marked as being declassified until it goes through a process which assesses the risk of declassifying the document. Therefore, I always say that tfg cannot waive a magic wand to declassify documents, and then *poof*, they are instantly declassified at his whim.
I am at complete liberty to discuss specifics concerning classified documents that I had access to in my past. But I don't do it. That is because the security of these documents become ingrained into your very soul, and they are usually never discussed by people who are able to discuss them, even though they have been debriefed and notified that the information is now "white world" and can be discussed freely, vs. "dark world".
