🌧 Where are the hurricanes? It’s the last day of August, and there hasn’t been a named storm in the Atlantic Hurricane Alley this month—the first time that’s happened in 25 years. Atlantic hurricane season lasts through November, though, and meteorologists are already monitoring a storm that could grow into something significant by Labor Day.

9. That's what my long-time yard guy says minus the right-wing spin.

He is convinced it is going to be a rough cold winter locally. He bases it on the hot dry drought Spring and then the spike in moisture here recently.

I'm inclined to believe he knows what he's talking about.
