9. An F-15 is a great plane, however, the armament is f'ing expensive.

And keeping up on the maintenance is time consuming, they aren't like your big old jacked up truck or your bass boat.
There's also a lot of electronics to maintain that can be hacked, since they probably haven't been updated since the 1990's.

Just because Maverick can jump in a foreign sale used F-15 and fight off (more) modern aircraft doesn't mean Jake from Meal Team 6 can do that. Especially since it was a movie, folks.
