I'm guessing that some of these TS documents that Trump took,

probably are evidentiary in nature that exposes Trump's espionage crimes. Taking copies of the docs wouldn't have helped him. He needed the originals, believing that if they turned up missing, there would be no evidence and case that he committed these crimes.

The national archives wouldn't release those. He likely got copies.
