The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office arrested road rage suspect Michael Wayne Harvey, 42, of Soddy-Daisy at his home shortly before 7 a.m. on Friday.

"Michael Harvey was the suspect in the road rage incident which made the news when the incident was recorded on a person's home security camera," Brad Hartman, the public information officer with the Sheriff's Office, said in a news release.

"On Aug. 22, 2022, Fugitive Detective Jeremy Vandergriff met with members of Harvey's family and they agreed to help with getting Michael to turn himself in," Hartman said. "On Sept. 2, 2022, Michael met with HCSO Fugitive Detective Vandergriff and surrendered himself early this morning. He was transported and booked at Hamilton County jail (Silverdale) without incident."

Harvey followed Jillian Knam and her son to a neighbor's house on Aug. 18, according to a sworn arrest affidavit filed in court by law enforcement. After Knam stopped her vehicle, she noticed Harvey walk to the driver's side of the car and started saying "you cut me off and I know where you live at now," while punching her window several times, according to the affidavit.

Harvey also pointed his finger at Knam in the shape of a gun and said "bang bang," according to the affidavit.
