CNN, Just when it looks like Trump's criminality

will at last catch up with him, they decide to become a more pro-Trump channel.

That is some smart programming right there.

Between this and HBO, Discovery+ looks like it will turn out to be the worst run media company in history.

How long before we see a mass exodus from CNN with the likes of Cooper, Bash, King...

This is a feature, not a bug.

Let's buy this premium channel with the solid reputation (HBO) and gut it from the inside.
It really looks like the just wanted to be a big entertainment player without doing the homework of what they would need or how to do it.

Very Trumpian.

So most of us didn’t know who Chris LICHT was until Stephen COLBERT gave him a gushing send-off from being executive producer of the COLBERT show to become the president of CNN. Coming from COLBERT’s shop, it must be a good fit for CNN, no? Little did we know that LICHT would embark on re-fashioning CNN “to the CENTER,” meaning turning it into a mini-Fox Propaganda Network. Because *one* Fox just ain’t enough, haha. So he warned CNN staff that “changes were coming,” which most recently resulted in canceling Reliable Sources and kicking out host Brian STELTER, giving rise to Fox host parrots hilariously mocking STELTER for lacking testosterone. Even before, Chris WALLACE, the boy with Daddy Issues, had landed on CNN from his long years at Fox.

But then, this LICHT (means “light” in German) was said to be the pawn of John MALONE, Board member of Warner Discovery, the owner of CNN, and of David ZASLAV CEO of Warner, both of whom on record for an agenda of “making CNN great again,” MALONE being a huge donor to wingnut politicians and entities. And their examples of “fair” journalists as models are (ta-daa!) Bret BAIER and Brit HUME, the Fox boys, yeah that’s the ticket. BAIER got his start as Donald RUMSFELD favorite son mouthpiece, and HUME was the consigliere of the BUSH Family Evil Empire dating back to his ABC years, and spent years browbeating Black Juan WHILLIAMS like it was Sunday at the plantation.

So silly me, I thought THAT was the bombshell about LICHT, pawn of wingnut bosses. But recently (since I haven’t kept up with ex-MSNBC’s Keith OLBERMANN for years), another onion skin of LICHT got peeled off, that he is no johnny-come-lately to the wingnut world: That he originally hatched from Joe SCARBOROUGH’s shop, before SCARBOROUGH claimed to stop being a wingnut. And OLBERMANN says LICHT was “henchman” for SCARBOROUGH, more like a hatchet man, who would go to the then boss at MSNBC, Phil GRIFFIN, with demands from SCARBOROUGH that Left leaning guests be scrapped from OLBERMANN’s and other MSNBC shows, with threats that SCARBOROUGH would be missing from work if not complied with, and also that disciplinary suspensions not be carried out on SCARBOROUGH for his violating GRIFFIN’s policy against hosts trashing fellow hosts.

My full length warning to you about Chris Licht and @cnn

- how at MSNBC he was Joe Scarborough's henchman and got guests on my show, Maddow's, and Schultz's, banned or cancelled - is in Ep. 19 of the Countdown podcast, at about 29:30.

Not going about it great. But many have tried desperate tactics. Their ratings were so low that this is what they are trying to get more eyeballs. If this fails, they will probably close up shop. Heck their CNN+ Was a complete disaster.

If Zaslav and Licht thinks the way to save the network is to become Faux-lite, they are dumber than I thought.

The want to replace objective with fascist friendly. And Faux watchers hate CNN and will never tune in.

Every move Discovery+ has made since they acquired WB shows they should have stuck with reality shows about buying house and finding gold.
They over paid, saddled themselves with too much debt and don't seem to have any understanding of non reality entertainment.

2008 showed us it is long past time we look at top executives as if they are smarter or know more than anyone else.
