Texas Governor announces an abortion policy with an immediately obvious and fatal flaw.

The headline alone is enough to tell you this can't possibly work:

Texas governor says rape victims can take Plan B morning-after pill

"We want to support those victims, but also those victims can access health care immediately, as well as to report it," Abbott said in a pre-recorded interview with KXAS-TV and The Dallas Morning News slated to air on Sunday, the newspaper reported.

"By accessing health care immediately, they can get the Plan B pill that can prevent a pregnancy from occurring in the first place. With regard to reporting it to law enforcement, that will ensure that the rapist will be arrested and prosecuted," Abbott added...

So a woman facing an unintended pregnancy could face a dilemma: either falsely accuse the guy who impregnated her, or sacrifice her plans for her future life.

Edit: On top of that, let's suppose the guy really did rape the woman and she makes an honest report of the rape and receives the abortion pill. In that case the rapist now has a strong defense in court that the woman is lying just to get the pill, which could result in the rapist getting off free and damaging the woman's reputation.

Nope, Greg, there's no way this is going to work.

And how soon will it be after the mid-terms that he and the other magats decide that that won't be allowed either?
