Voter suppression is a national scandal

The uber-patriotic repugs should be ashamed of the obvious, concerted efforts of republican officials to deny Americans the right to vote. They are the first to salute our troops for defending our freedoms, but they apparently democracy and the right to vote are fundamental elements of that freedom. We are no better than soviet bloc countries during the Cold War. Maybe we should ask for foreign election watchdogs.

Take Rick Scott - FL gov, please.
This guy defrauded Medicare. His policies are uniformly anti-American worker.
Now he's obsessively working to deny Americans the right to vote.
When will people wake up to the fact that HE is anti-American? This guy is the enemy!

Until they make federal/nation wide elections covered under federal law and state law apply only to state rep. elections even if it requires separate ballot for presidential election.

because anyone involved will be let go... and if they are brought up on charges and convicted... hello pardon. There are no repercussions. At the end of the day, if their guy will be in office that's all that matters.

I swear - it's like there are no rules to our election. Lie, cheat, steal. If you're crooked enough to try it, it apparently pays off in the end because based on the facts, Romney should have been lambasted and shunned a long time ago.

IMHO, the only actions Romney could have taken that would have hurt him with his current supporters is:
1. If they found out he was gay. And it would have to involve a video for them to believe it.
2. If they found out he had an illegitimate child... with a person of color - gasp! (pretty sure they'd let him slide if it was with a white woman)
3. They found out he wasn't Christian... oh wait, he isn't...
4. If they found out he, ummm. That's it, I guess. Just 1 and 2.

Think about it. They really have. They don't support the democracy that is our country. They are the enemies of it.

I first did some research on the states in which Voter ID laws were passed or pending. Nearly all of these states were swing states.

It is just disgusting. What made me more disgusted is that in my state, our Secretary of State could not get Voter ID passed. To pass a law, that starts with the state legislature, right? Not if you're a Republican Nazi Secretary of State who is trying to please the Republican dons in the upper echelons of the party who want those Voter ID laws in place for the 2012 election. Our frickin Sec of State passed "Emergency Voter ID" laws. He just passed them. Luckily, three weeks prior to this election, a judge threw out these laws.

Mother truckers!!!

Just who in the hell do these people think they are????

This is a concerted, highly organized effort. They planned this. And they're planning on making more headway with the next election. Count on it.

God these people make me sick!!! I have a Facebook friend who is very high up in our state government. This person recently met with a team of people involved with the presidential campaign. This friend sent out a call to action-asking for attorneys and other professionals to be poll watchers at our polling locations. So, you can damn well bet that Obama knows very well that they are cheating and behaving like criminal goons.

Can you imagine having to deal with all of the stress and pressure of a campaign--managing this monster, national campaign--and also having to contend with a bunch of psychopathic cheaters who will trample on voters' constitutional rights and commit crimes to win???

Fuck Romney, his henchmen and all of this prissy, go-along, spineless Secretaries of State who are going along because they're a bunch of jellyfish who would rather bow down to criminals than serve the people of their state. These are dishonorable, traitorous people.

I think voting out these Republican governors and corrupt Secretaries of State needs to be priority ONE for the Democratic party.
