"Not the city you live in. And none of the cities you've been to recently. The cities you're planning to visit or where you know people? They're perfectly fine. But rest assured and trust me when I say cities were destroyed and antifa and BLM destroyed them"
A screenshot from Fox News' Tucker Carlson tonight

Tucker Carlson is talking to the camera. He looks like a penny loafer come to life

The chyron reads "Many cities were destroyed by rioting and violence"

Why have Dems never fought back on this lie? I see it used by RW extremists (aka Republicans) on a daily basis.

It really doesn’t matter if you prove something is made up and total BS, the Reich wing will make up 10 different bogeymen to scare their base.

that BLM had, in his words, "completely destroyed" Portland, Oregon.
I went to their newspaper and posted a picture of a big crowd at a downtown festival, and asked him if these were the relatives coming into town to claim the bodies of all their dead family members.
Nothing sweeter that checking back and seeing "This post has been removed and cannot be viewed".

on edit: It just hit me what he was saying: Not in any city our good white viewers would ever visit, but in those horrible places where the dark-skinned people live, ya'know what I mean?

commercial airline flight, being seated next to an apparent MAGAt, who was looking out of the window as they flew into whatever city it was absolutely convinced he'd be able to see the looted/burned/devastated ruins he had heard so much about... The normal person didn't even bother trying to correct the MAGAt, and his failure to see anything out of the ordinary naturally had no effect on his delusion.

I'm sure that one definition will likely fit; you see, archeologists are always digging up failed cities, and they WERE destroyed by one of those reasons or another...

When touring the Amana colonies in Iowa this summer. We were both sitting on an outdoor bench while our family members were inside the stores. When I told him I was from Minneapolis, he (from Oklahoma) asked how it was going up there now that the city had been destroyed by BLM rioters and looters. I asked him “Where do you get your news? That’s the most ignorant thing I’ve heard yet. The city is just fine and the arrests from the riots were from out-of-town white supremacists.”

I then got up and left saying “I don’t feel safe sitting on a bench with you.”

I am in my 60s and he was 5-10 years older.
