I've only seen one post about the PBS Frontline Tuesday broadcast, Lies, Politics and Democracy. The post I saw commented on the show's strong opening showing losing presidential candidates as far back as Thomas Dewey acknowledging our strong tradition of peaceful presidential transition.
The show is a strong defense of our fragile democracy and a devastating look at MAGA authoritarianism and hypocrisy. Yes, there was a short bit wondering if Democrats overplayed their Trump criticism, but recent events, including the January 6th Committee (briefly shown) and the stolen documents (not covered in the show), show that the Dems were always correct in their criticism.
The Frontline episode was strongest in portraying the transformation of the GOP into a MAGA hellhole, devoid of facts and introspection. It's well worth watching (two hours) and is already available to stream.

(2,173 posts)Thanks for the recommendation
...definitely lays the blame for 'trump' and the distrust and attempted breaking of our electoral system at the feet of the Republican Party...
...a good program making honest scary points as our hour of reckoning nears...
...how we now right the ship of state is unclear...
...and like usual, the program's intense scrutiny on the Republican coup is late in coming and offers little or no recommendations for the course ahead...
...I came away feeling we're in really big dodo...

(9,666 posts)But for the most part, not news to most of us on this board.
Maybe not, but from what I've gathered from posts and especially polls here, this board skews older. Frontline tends to skew younger. I like to applaud media efforts to expose MAGA for what it is, especially to those who may not be as exposed to the subject matter we're familiar with.
