https://www.yahoo.com/news/poll-democrats-lead-republicans-among-those-who-say-theyll-definitely-vote-in-midterms-221434935.htmlA new Yahoo News/YouGov poll shows that Democrats are heading into the homestretch of the 2022 midterm campaign with a lead over Republicans among registered voters including those who say they definitely will vote this year.
According to the survey of 1,634 U.S. adults, which was conducted from Sept. 2 to Sept. 6, 45% of registered voters now say they would cast their ballot for the Democratic congressional candidate in their district if the election were held today; 40% say they would choose the Republican candidate instead.
Among registered voters who say they will definitely vote on Nov. 8, Democrats lead 48% to 45%.
The new Yahoo News/YouGov results some of the first national numbers to emerge after the long Labor Day weekend that traditionally marks the beginning of the fall election season align with a shift that has been underway for weeks now in congressional polling averages. (The previous Yahoo News/YouGov poll, conducted in late August, showed Democrats ahead by a similar margin among registered voters.)

(19,066 posts)The polls are trending to Democrat and they don't include Roe Roe Roe the vote possibly causing an undetected several point miss.
November has a chance to be a decisive election for Dems now. 538 is moving their odds to keep the house up ever so slowly, but steadily. We're now 70-30 to keep the Senate, and 26-74 against keeping the House/

(19,066 posts)I can't believe those races haven't gotten more play from pollsters. Kansas beat polls by 20 points and NY-19 beat them by 9 or 10. And the candidate in NY-19 ran on protecting abortion rights. You could see something truly remarkable if the polls are off by several points around the country. You could see a 55-45 Senate and a bigger Dem advantage in the House than now. You give Biden those advantages for 2 years and he's going to completely transform our country while protecting our Democracy.

(7,107 posts)Throw in Trump being exposed as a fucking SPY (as well as the previously known traitorous fascist who tried to overthrow democracy and install himself as dictator for life) and you've got the makings of a big blue wave.
