Donald Trump's crimes have made clear something incredibly important: our system is far, far from impartial and is, by design, structured to serve the whims of white, wealthy men.
We must examine our history and discard these tired, dangerous myths.

Some of America's most cherished myths are being summarily and necessarily destroyed.

For all of the damage Donald Trump has done, sometimes its necessary to appreciate the public services he has performed.
By ascending to the office of President of the United States, he exposed the shoddiness of our systems and the pervasive ugliness of our culture.
In constructing his MAGA Movement, he made visible the authoritarian elements that course just under the skin of the American body politic.
With his unmatched and staggering incompetence - having been one of the worst performing businessmen in the countrys history - and his persistence in remaining rich, powerful, and influential, he did us the favor of exposing just how farcical the notion of a meritocracy really was.
And now, as we watch the legal system contort itself and sweat and struggle to explain its inability to hold him accountable, we are witnessing the demise of yet another American fairytale.

(22,130 posts)of money, obtain a different kind of justice vs. those of us that do not have access to such legal representation, purchased by this unlimited money? It seems blatantly unfair, and Lady Justice is shaking her head.
Perhaps they can come up w/ a formula that will ensure a fairer sense of justice, that is not depending upon unlimited funds or the like, perhaps some sort of formula akin to that of defendants who have no money and thus are assigned an attorney by the Courts, we do this so why not kind of do the reverse in some manner? Perhaps there isn't such a way to do this.
Also, what gets me here is how is it that djt went shopping and found this judge when he should have filed the lawsuit in the venue, he was supposed to vs. the hand-picked judge he picked? This is obviously unfair, and the DOJ didn't even get a chance to utter anything before she made a ruling in favor of tRUMP via the master to review the stolen materials at MAL? The DOJ must appeal this bad decision.
