I had to do some grocery shopping early today, so I started at the supermarket pharmacy, which I use for my prescriptions, too. No customers there, so I stepped up and asked if they had the new Moderna Covid booster available.
"As of this morning, yes."
"I'll have one, please."
The nice pharmacy lady said, just before stabbing me in the left arm, "You're the first person in this store to get the new booster."
Later, I went by the pharmacy again, after getting my groceries. There were about 10 people in line for boosters, all over 70 years old, I think, just like me.
So, go early if you want to walk in for your shot. You'll save some time.

(14,918 posts)going back to work the next Monday. I have had a robust immune reaction to each vaccination, which does not worry me one bit, but I need time to sleep it off and let the temporary fever, chills, and nausea subside.
