Non-Americans who live in a country that has sensible gun laws,

Non-Americans who live in a country that has sensible gun laws, Why would you visit the United States—Where anybody can buy a gun, even an AR 15 –unless you are visiting relatives or Close friends?

Because as an American if I Didn’t already live here I wouldn’t visit for any other reason.

1. We have a dramatic landscape that dwarfs anything Europe has to offer.

Every summer I meet groups of Europeans who have rented a RV and are doing a grand tour of the national park system. The vastness the west is very attractive.

Gun culture in this country is insane. Easy access to high capacity firearms is a issue that will take tremendous political will and generations to solve.

We do have deserts that are considerably safer to visit than the Sahara or the Middle East.

We were seriously considering moving to NZ, but the couple that was going to sponsor us broke up and moved to Canada. Boo!! Now I don't know what we will do if the reich wing takes over in 2024 since we live in dumbfuckistan - aka Florida. Maybe we could sell our house/land and buy part of a friends' land in CA and move there - maybe? But she has other friends who live out east and would there be room for all of us and could we even sell in those conditions?

We do have a rifle and a gun - but they are stored away and I never want to have to get them out! Scary times are coming.

Moderate temperatures, lots of water. Anywhere north of Seattle is good for the most part.

I do love it there and my aunt & cousin live north of Seattle. Maybe it's time we paid them a visit and looked around? We've avoided planes for the last 3 years, but we could reconsider that?

The odds of actually being shot in the United States are still vanishingly small.

Is that most tourists can look at the numbers and realize the chances of being a gun homicide victim are vanishingly small even in our "epidemic" of violence.

They are willing to take that risk, along with the much greater risk of driving in the US, to visit some of the many sites a large country offers.
