Here's what I'm trying to figure out about Trump's treasonous charges

Technically, the crimes were committed the moment the sensitive documents were removed from their appropriate place, whether from a SCIF room or the White House in general. So then why isn't the case in the DC federal circuit since that's where the initial crimes occurred?

There is no pending criminal case in relation to this matter.

The only thing that has happened was an application, granting, and execution of a search warrant in Florida, where the search was conducted.

I meant "case" as in all legal matters related to the scenario. Trump's team would likely argue that the matter at hand is the search of Trump's Florida, but I would expect DOJ to argue that any arguments or actions belonged in the DC courts.

The court isn’t really even near Maralago.

Cannon’s dad is in The Federalist Society. She has literally no experience at all but they bet on her being loyal.

Which is where Maralargo is located and where the search took place. It is where they were required to file.

Therefore there has been no crimes at this point. Also if someone is the president there is no crime to look at classified materials outside of the White House. He can look at them on the toilet, on Air Force 1, in a motorcade, or anywhere he feels like it. Its his call.

is no crime? He's no longer the president so him having classified government property in am unsecured country club where no one has a clearance to look at them sure seems like a crime...and probable cause that a crime has been committed, thus the search warrant.

The OP said it was a crime to look at classified materials by anyone outside a secure room or "the White House generally". That is not true. On Jan 20 after noon Trump was no longer the president. My post had nothing to do with him.
