(18,359 posts)Call medicare and tell them and your doctor. I have had people calling to scam me maybe, I am not sure, for diabetic supplies. And about 50 million other things. I always hang up.
My brother had someone call him and tell him that his daughter had been kidnapped and he had to send them money etc. so he always stays on the phone with these crazies, he eventually told them thats very interesting because I dont have a daughter- the man calling got angry at him and said what are you wasting my time for, lol. 😹
There is a chance it could be valid if you had the need and your doctor ordered it. That happened twice with a hospital bed that was ordered for my father that I had not been told about- a company called and said they wanted to deliver it. But that was being paid for by Medicare and I guess partially covered by his other insurance I dont think anyone said that it was free, I cant really remember now.

(14,164 posts)... contact the elder abuse/credit card fraud section. I got tangled up with the "help I have fallen and can't get up" battery controlled emergency beacon necklace.
I called the attorney general's office and with in 24 hrs they had the credit card transaction reversed and the contract cancelled.
