The right constantly thumps the bible. Pointing out their clear lack of understanding of Christ's teachings is a powerful wedge issue.
Please do not be insecure about your beliefs or your compassion. We understand your point, but this is politics and our country is in a bad place.
Whatever your beliefs you will be welcome at America's liberal table. We stand together.

If you do find my post humorous that is a shame because it was posted with sincerity.
We are a country founded of freedom or religion and I believe in it. People who try to push their version of humanity on other to Americans are not understanding our founding fathers.
I speak for myself but I believe many on the liberal side agree with my position.
Could the issue be that you are trying to push your version of humanity on to me and others?

no qualms about kidnapping these poor people, ship them across the Country and use them as fodder in their faked photo opportunities to be drama queens and hyperventilate on the issue of illegal immigration.

They didn't do one thing to make the situation better for these immigrants, instead, simply shipped them elsewhere, didn't feed them from what I understood, etc. Where were the rest of their so-called Christians in these two states? Why weren't they out there helping these immigrants?

The BOOK demands all throughout how we must treat this families. Not that I know that book, John Fugelsang teaches me.
And who shouts Jeebus and Gawd more than MTG and Bang Bang Boebert, (who doesn’t understand or know how to pronounce many of the words)
She can’t wait for the “Last Days” to meet her Jeebus, but me even being a non believer, I have a better chance of being allowed in.
These fake ass Christian’s best check their heaven resumes cause that second coming will not look kindly on their Fox Christian bull shit.
These Fine people on the Vineyard are the kind of people I would be willing to sit with on a Sunday. I have no desire to sit in the Satan Sunday school hate factories to tell you to hate the life you have, it’s hell being alive, so hurry and die for the good stuff to begin.
I would think DeSatan, Abbott, Jones, Bannon, MTG, Boebert and all fucking Trump’s will all be in hell. That scares the fuck out of me and is a greater fear tactic than heat and Satan to maybe get religion.

Did you read it? These 50 refugees showed up unannounced, and the people of Martha's Vineyard came out to help them with their immediate needs. They were housed at a church for 2 days, with families staying together. Do you expect that church to be on its own forever?

The right wingers are already posting things like "Martha's Vineyard got rid of those people as soon as they could, those nice welcoming libs." That's not what happened at all. The military base is set up to be a shelter. They even housed people there after Hurricane Katrina. Plus, those folks need assistance from the government, as the government has access to resources that a local church could only dream of.

While they should consider infrastructure to help underserved populations on the island, they didn't have it now.

And the people who were brought there would have to get OFF island to do the appropriate check ins and legal things they'd need to do for their asylum applications.

The disingenuousness is palpable.
