In my opinion, Donald Trump should not be included in polls about presidential candidates.

The latest polls show him running close to Joe Biden in the polls for the presidency in 2024.

With the many investigations and possible indictments, there is a good chance he may not run in 2024. He is a professional, habitual criminal and his crimes are just beginning to be exposed.

If that does not disqualify him, it should. At the very least, he should not be declared a favorite in the polls.

With the possible indictments and possible jail sentences, the media should not include him in any polls at this time, in my opinion. It gives the people the impression that there are no serious charges against him and he has done nothing wrong to keep him from running again for the White House.

Just my opinion.

I don't know why he wouldn't be included, if he is free to, he will run. Chainfire Sep 2022 #1

At least, they could say that a habitual criminal is leading the Republican Party.

It gives a mistaken impression of reality, in my opinion.

Indicted, convicted, even if he were somehow thrown in jail he’d still run from there.

The only thing that will stop that gravy train is if we’re lucky enough to have him drop dead.

The worst part is, he could still win from any of those positions. This is a deeply sick, deeply damaged country.

If not, how could he run for public office. There oughta be a law.

Only three states, Delaware, West Virginia and Virginia, do not allow felons to vote under any circumstances. Two states, Maine and Vermont, allow you to vote even if you’re in prison. Most are somewhere in between allowing you to vote as long as you’re not in prison to making you wait until the sentence, including probation or parole, is fully served.

But it doesn’t matter if he can vote, he can run, even from prison.

...while he's doing the president job? Of course, he could not be charged with any crimes while he is on probation because presidents have too much work to do to be weighed down by criminal charges?

None of this would matter anymore. The country would be finished. He’d never be held accountable for anything and he’d be there until he dies. We’re on the brink right now, any Republican win will be the death blow. It doesn’t have to be him.

... at this point, I see three people clearly running for President. They are Joe Biden, Donald Trump, and Ron DeSantis. People are wondering when they will "announce" but, to me, that would be to announce they are NO LONGER running.

Of what we want or believe should happen. It's a reflection of how things are.

Indictments and even convictions can't stop him from running and sticking our heads in the sand and pretending he doesn't exist will not end well.

The fact is it’s the whole Republican party is crazy here. They should be the ones to disqualify him.For crissakes, he lost the popular vote twice he was impeached twice, he lost the House, he lost the Senate and the White House and he left after his term with negative job growth. Has never enjoyed an approval rating of a majority the people. What is wrong with a political party that would nominate him again? It’s like they’re amateurs at this game

I've been doing some election number crunching on a gerrymander database I keep and the "Trump Effect" on the last election was huge. Probably 20 million more votes than would otherwise have been expected.
