(15,137 posts)We only get her one day per week, so her taking one day off means we go 14 days without her brilliance.

(16,829 posts)I would love a schedule like that.

(115,807 posts)I doubt she's lounging around at a spa eating bonbons. And her single show per week clearly shows she's putting in a lot of prep time. It's just a job and she doesn't owe us anything more than that.

(15,137 posts)She works incredibly hard every day. I have read her books and listened to the podcast. I just appreciate her take on the news of the day.
I'm sorry so many folks took this so seriously.

(115,807 posts)I just don't get why some of Rachel's fans (and I'm a fan, too), adore her for her expertise and therefore hate it that she sometimes takes an evening off, while also slamming her for making a lot of money and having what seems to be an easy schedule.

(7,580 posts)was so disgusted she wasn't there, I shut the tv off. Wish I had worked a job where I could have 6 or 14 days in a row off and get paid millions of dollars.

(115,807 posts)but you can't manage a Monday without her? If she's so incredibly valuable that she shouldn't be allowed a single Monday off, why is it so terrible that she has negotiated a contract that pays her handsomely for her work and even lets her take an occasional day off?
