I am sick and tired of trickle-down economics. It has never worked.

We're building an economy from the bottom up and middle out.

I think everyone knows this is true, even the most die hard Reagan supporters. Any blue collar worker should be glad to hear this, so shout it out above the distracting blaring noise of right wing media.

You measure from the middle out if you want it to come out equal and even on all sides.

Working off center lines is an easier, quicker way to make a better part. Saves time truing/cleaning up the outer edges, allows the engineer to work from the primary data points.

Working from the center seems to have much better results.

Very interesting about the machinist thing.

They seem to be trained to have great faith in their "trends" and "estimates", without concern about the basis for their extrapolation.

A lot of so-called engineers REALLY don't get the working from centerline thing. The same ones get a very confused look when you ask about Datums*, ordinate dimensioning, or tolerance stackup, go positively apoplectic when confronted with ANSI y14.5!

is also known as the Horse and Sparrow theory of economics. That is, if you feed lots of grain to the horses, some will pass through for the sparrows to pick over on the side of the road.

how to handle it, spend it.

Selfish little pr**k.

It is time that the vast majority of Americans enjoy the fruits of our labor, all of the hard work, and thus each and every one of us contributes to this Economy in some way, some fashion, thus keeping our Economic Engine going in this Country. What I think would work better too, is to NOT let republicans have a say in anything Economic-wise, since they are so biased, so slanted in their support for the top 1% in this Country and reducing their taxes while at the same time increasing taxes on the rest of us.

17/ Republicans told us if we just cut the top tax rate on the morbidly rich from the 74% it was at in 1980 down to 27% it would “trickle down” benefits to everybody else as, they said, the “job creators” would be unleashed on our economy.

18/ Instead of a more general prosperity, we’ve now ended up with the greatest wealth and income inequality in the world, as over $50 trillion was transferred over 40 years from the bottom 90% to the top 1%, where it remains to this day.

19/ The middle class has gone from over 60% of us to fewer than half of us. It now takes 2 full-time wage earners to sustain the same lifestyle one could in 1980.
