Dare I wonder if we are getting close to Critical Mass...

…when it comes to Trump.

For years, it feels like the keys to his downfall have always been just over the horizon, but all the signs over the past month, the past weeks, everything…it just seems like finally he might not be able to avoid facing justice. For at least some of his crimes, even if not all of them.

But it feels closer now. It really does.

Certainly up to his ankles, but not yet up to his knees. No matter which way he turns to step, it's all do-do stretching out to the horizon and beyond the beyond. I suspect that now Ms Leticia has turned over a criminal referral to the DOJ, that the IRS has some busy bees buzzing over his past filings too.

It wouldn't surprise me if his kids commit him to a mental ward as incompetent to stand trial. Seems that would be his only out from prosecution. Of course that won't get THEM off the hook.

If I were to have been found to have mis-appropriated and illegally stored and shared one single page of the hundreds of pages of documents, I would have been, IMMEDIATELY, arrested, placed in handcuffs, leg irons, body shackles, holding cells, held incommunicado in solitary confinement and questioned for days at end to discern each and every movement and contact I made during the time that that single page was in my possession. Then, I would be immediately placed in solitary confinement in a Federal dungeon for many, many years.

Until I see any evidence of such a reaction by the officials in charge of protecting our National Security, I will continue to believe that the fix is in, and he will skate with trivial charges at best.

1 MAGA cult member on a jury of any of his trials and he gets acquitted. There are still tens of millions of idiots in this country who will refuse to believe Trump is guilty, even in the face of undeniable proof.

I was an enthusiastic supporter and gave him a pass on way too much
until he sold us out with his cowardice on COVID
you’re just not intelligent enough to process that real Americans who
were never ever anti-Trump have real problems with the guy
I’ve spent nearly three years fighting the problems he left us, while
you’ve probably been playing fanboi sitting on your ass doing nothing
the entire time
60 posted on 2022-09-21 by thoughtomator

and to be perfectly clear, I didn’t turn completely sour on the guy
until very recently when I found out what he did with the $250 million
he raised for election integrity
that’s what’s paying for his lawyers and his big rallies - he stole
the money, almost none of it went to election integrity
then I started to review the other things I gave him a pass on and
realized he’s been doing us dirty for quite some time now

really kind of put the 'stink' on things for a lot of people in government, current and ex-military, etc. (old style 'my country ..' patriots, et.al.)

On the other hand - I would have sworn those same people would have been completely put off with playing palzie-walzie with Putin and Kim. I run into a lot of folks that readily admit they think Trump talks a lot of sh*t - but were ready to give a pass, because of 'the things he does.' Screwing around with national security and secrets - that's different. And I'm not sure if giving the middle finger to 'the establishment' is going to work for him this time. Guess we'll find out.
