LMFAOOO, a new poll has found that Kyrsten Sinema is despised by Democrats, Independents, and Republicans all equally.
Finally, some unity. 😜

Kyrsten Sinema Has Brought the Entire State of Arizona Together (in Thinking She Sucks)

Bipartisanship has always been important to Kyrsten Sinema, the senator from Arizona. Though shes a Democrat, she has styled her career, it is often said, after maverick John McCain and prides herself on her frequent partnerships with Republicans. Her social media accounts and official statements often tout that shes working across the aisle, trying to bring both sides together.
Well: mission accomplished!

(14,047 posts)McCain earned his reputation as a "Maverick" by occasionally rejecting his party to do the right thing.
Sinema is constantly trying to earn the same reputation by rejecting her party to do the wrong thing.

(28,341 posts)Not liking that too much. Unless Independents in that state are largely comprised of white men over 50 who are disgruntled Trumpers and dont think Pukes are fighting hard enough for their Orange Jesus.
But honestly that seems like a stretch. I would very much like to see a demographic breakdown of the independents.

After college, Gallego joined the Marines. After completing School of Infantry (SOI) training, he deployed to Iraq with Lima Company, 3rd Battalion, 25th Marine Regiment. The 3/25 lost 46 Marines and two Navy corpsmen between January 2005 and January 2006.
Lima company received the most combat losses of any infantry unit since the Vietnam war.
I thought Id have to fight my way out: Combat veteran lawmakers took action after Capitol stormed
https://www.washingtonpost.com/national-security/2021/01/07/i-thought-id-have-fight-my-way-out-combat-veteran-lawmakers-took-action-after-capitol-stormed/
On Wednesday, after chemical irritants were fired in the Capitol to repel a pro-Trump mob, Rep. Ruben Gallego thought of the moment years ago when he entered a Marine Corps gas chamber.
The training was suddenly relevant for the Iraq veteran and Arizona Democrat after an announcement blared to don gas masks stored under the seats. Gallego looked over the panicked faces of fellow lawmakers and explained to them some of the most potent lessons from boot camp. Trust your mask. Take measured, shallow breaths. Dont panic.
Police barricaded doors and pointed pistols at infiltrators through broken windows. Gallego removed his jacket. I thought Id have to fight my way out, he told The Washington Post in an interview.
Gallego was among a handful of veterans-turned-lawmakers who reverted to military training after a mob smashed windows, broke down doors and rushed past federal police in an attack. One woman was shot and killed by police inside the Capitol.

(21,507 posts)like our Dem President and Senate Majority Leader, have at times felt some frustration with Senator Sinema's voting record, so I think that's what is being expressed here.
You might have missed some of those discussions during absences from these boards.

(22,267 posts)Congressional District before she ran for Senate and had no reason to think she would not be a good choice.
My daughter told me that her opponent's ads were off the charts crazy, and of course she would vote against the crazy lady.
I am encouraging her to support Rep Gallego in the primary which is not for another 2 years.
Just about every grassroots Dem group in AZ wants her out
But right now, even if we do not like how she votes or acts, she is a D in the head count and will reliably vote with the party on most items. Especially confirmations.

(12,816 posts)The GOP has no interest in democracy. If they did, they wouldn't gerrymander districts, disenfranchise voters, and pack the Supreme court.

If we end up with a two seat majority in the Senate, that may tell a different story, but right no we need every seat

(10,565 posts)I would gladly trade Sinema for one of my Senators, Marsha Blackburn. Arizona is a purple state and as long as she's a Democrat I'll take her over any whacko that is running for McCain's seat. Arizona, right now, is a purple state- we need to make sure the Trumpkins don't get her seat. Sometimes you blue staters don't what it's like living in a red state.
