Please, WH Press Office, tell the American people why DeJoy is still Postmaster.

I'm getting tired of typing the information to people begging for an answer on twitter.

Someone at the WH ought to convince the MSM to tell the story of why Biden can't just fire him.

I type the answer probably fifty times in a twitter session every day and see the question many more times..

NOBODY IN THE PUBLIC SEEMS TO KNOW, and they BLAME BIDEN for not firing him.

DNC could do it, if the WH would allow.

But the avg voter doesn't realize this.

This is why we always have a midterm circus.

And it's complex.

Trump badgered the former Postmistress General into retiring early so he could shove DeJoy in that job ...

and it's obvious that he knew full well what damage DeJoy was going to do and how difficult it would be to get rid of him.

Biden did do a couple of things that are hard to understand, too. His last nominee to the board is a man who worked for Moscow Mitch and for Mrs. Mitch. Biden could have appointed an Independent instead of this man Derek Kan. And he could have arguably asked for a commitment from the other board members he appointed. That did not happen.

Two more seats come open in December, but that will be too late to save the midterm ballots.

If not, can’t some IG determine that he has been financially benefitting from contracts he selects?

If not, can’t some friends of Biden make his life less pleasant in some manner?

He could call DeJoy and 'smooth-talk' him into retiring early with his bigly, very strong, way with words!

...people who are willing to fire DeJoy for corruption.

Not for politics.

For rampant, blatant corruption.

That isn't happening. The last person appointed had worked for Moscow Mitch, for Mrs. Mitch, and for Republican Finance Committee. Derek Kan.

With mid-term balloting coming up.

DeJoy's corruption in the job is legendary. His intent is clear.

And if Biden hasn't taken actions to put in Board members with enough moral energy to fire him, then DeJoy is Biden's man in the eyes of some.

Nor are they "blaming Biden".

The only people who care are activists and bloggers. And Twitter is not an expression of the real world.

Responding to people on social media is a choice; just don't bother if you don't want to.

I know of nobody who is experiencing the negative outcomes we read about with USPS.
Not that these aren't real, but if it was epidemic I find it hard to believe I know nobody who has had issues.
I get regular shipments of cigars out of a company in Florida. I have never gotten them more than 3 days from order date, usually 2.
I don't think the problem is as big as advertised & I don't think DeJoy has all that much clout.
Most of what he did seems to have been recommended by USPS senior management.
I don't mean this as a defense of him. He's in over his head. The company he ran before this was a pipsqueak. XPO bought them with pocket change.
But, if I were Biden, dumping DeJoy would not be near the top of my priority list.

How would you characterize that?
