How debilitating it can be. My stepdaughter got her ex to take in her noncommunicative, wannabe trans, autistic son for a week so she could visit her daughter several states away. While there, she did all the cooking, had their bikes fixed, tried to find repairmen... everything!... and still came back more refreshed than ever because at last she could sleep at night!!! Her ex is going to keep the son another week and he really needs to keep the young man at least half time. Being his full-time caretaker was destroying her. She's taken him to a psychiatrist and psychologist, but they also cancelled on her since the son won't talk to them. We really don't have readily available help in this country for the mentally impaired and the caretakers. My heart goes out to you!!!!!!!!!!!!
