At the time, Republicans and Democrats knew that Nixon was a crook. George Orwell warned us about the types of people who rewrite history.

All the power, money, resources in the world belong to them.

They are special and important.

They see the rest of the world as stupid losers who deserve what they get.

They do not know the history of 2020 to 2021 when a coup was attempted, and troves of government documents were hoarded at a golf resort. I would say that history is being forgotten if it were ever learned in the first place.

...Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, NEPA, Endangered Species Act. Nixon or even Goldwater would not even rate "RINO" these days. They'd be labeled as far-left activist pinko commies.

I used to work with a guy who complained about the freeing of slaves being unfair to slave owners because it was the government telling them what to do. His words. I pointed out that the essence of slavery is telling people what to do, to no effect on his thick skull.

Heck it was for the benefit of the slaves… it let them “migrate” to Christianistan… (I mean America). I read something a while back on the Freedom From Religion Foundation that some preacher said something like “a slave that knew God was better off than a free atheist” back in the 1800s.

Time had a good article on slavery and the Bible being used to justify it. It’s disgusting.
