Request from a Florida Duer.

Last edited Tue Sep 27, 2022, 03:41 PM - Edit history (1)

We already are starting with power outages in central Florida. Accessing info on my iPhone, but nothing live. Can a Duer who is watching this storm please post a thread and provide updates for us? I am especially interested in the European model.

Correction. I mean the internet is down. But it just came back on at 3;41!!!!

I know people on the west coast will thank you too. The European model has us (Orlando) out of the danger zone sooner Than the us model. Frankly, where we are the more the storm moves East the less intensity we’ll see because we’ll be out of the dirty zone.

Euro is St Pete's, GFS is Sarasota County (Venice). Right now, the trend is definitely south, although Denis Philips thinks it may be a little closer to Tampa than the NHC is saying.

I can send you DMs when teh updates are in soon.,

If the hurricane passes to the east of you, you will be better off as far as not as likely to get tornadoes, worst wind, etc.

We are expecting heavy rains all day Saturday, beginning Friday, and more rain on Sunday here near atlanta. Further in NE Ga will get alot of rainfall as well.

Please stay indoors and wait until all of the tree limbs and debris has settled. Too many people die after the storm when they are hit by falling limbs, etc.

The more East it gets, the less the chances of intense weather.

I think we’re ready getting hit with the outer bands.

There are no underground utilities and each power provider has different levels of storm mitigation

Tampa Electric is not so bad, but Florida Power and Light sucks
