SENTENCE: ABJ sentences Kyle Young to 86 months in jail, matching the government's recommendation, plus 36 months of supervised release.
Refresher on him:
Prosecutors seek more than 7 years for Iowan who assaulted officer during Capitol riot
A Dallas County man who allegedly tried to take a police officer's gun during the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol could face one of the longest sentences yet delivered to any Capitol riot defendant.
Prosecutors in a filing this week are recommending that Kyle Young, 38, of Redfield, be ordered to serve 86 months more than seven years when he is sentenced Sept. 27 in Washington, D.C. Young pleaded guilty in May to a single charge of assaulting, resisting or impeding a police officer.
If the judge accepts the recommendation, he would go to prison for longer than all but a handful of other rioters so far. A former Marine and New York police officer who attacked police with a flagpole was sentenced earlier this month to 10 years in prison, while a Virginia police officer was sentenced to 87 months on month more than Young.

That's exactly what needed to be said to him while he sat there waiting for his sentence.

And, it was probably shortened because no trial was required.
The penalty for treason used to be death. Absent capital punishment, 7+ years was the least of what he earned.
He could have kept his dumb ass home.

The irony is too thick to cut. Or is it hypocrisy?
These fools chanting "stop the steal" were assisting a thief (Trump) to STEAL the presidency from Biden.
If they really wanted to "stop the steal" they should have all just stayed home.

So he'll serve every millisecond of it.

will violate the terms of their supervised release and wind up back in prison.
