Lemon (rightly) sees it as a promotion, as does Licht--who famously believes that the morning shows are the key to a networks success (which is hardly a rare opinion among television executives--and Lemon got a nice salary bump as part of this promotion.

George Stephanopoulos, ABC's top anchor, is on the morning show on that network for similar reasons (no matter how ill-fitting he is in that role).

Who ought to be laughing at whom here?

Do you not wonder, if co-hosting a morning show is so much more prestigious than solo-hosting your own prime-time show, why Lemon wasn't originally selected for the CNN morning slot when they instead opted for the ratings juggernaut that is JOHN BERMAN? 19. I think CNN's online website is still the most reputable source of free online news articles

and I haven't detected any right wing slant in their online news articles. In fact they carry very few opinion articles with a conservative slant, unlike the NY Times and Washington Post that post garbage right wing opinion pieces on a daily basis. I only occasionally watch CNN TV, so I can't comment on that although I do check their website several times daily for basic news.

If we help to bring more eyes to the stories that should be seen by more viewers, that might influence them more in our direction. It's all about viewership.
