Gavin Newsom tweet re: Paxton.... irony

So the guy who is trying to throw women in jail for fleeing the state to receive reproductive care LITERALLY FLED HIS HOME to avoid a subpoena concerning abortion access.

The irony is almost unbearable.

He is a fighter and learned a ton from Gov. Brown.

I hope he is considered after Biden has completed his second term.

I'm really envious of California's governor. We're stuck with a thug here in MT who believes dinosaurs roamed the earth 6000 years ago. ugh.

Wonkette lived in MT! Wow.

Western MT is still progressive…at least here in Missoula. However, we’ve got an influx of Texans since Covid and that can’t be good.

I live next door in NM and I've never seen anything at the border beyond a change in signage and maybe a steeper grade on the NM side, so it can't be anything in the air, soil, or probably water. Texas just looks collectively nuts from here.

I wonder if Paxton will stick to that story under oath. Probably, since he seems to be untouchable.

The state bar association is suing him.

He should be use to being served by now. He's a criminal.

There's a common term in Texas for people who do act the way he does: Chickenshit.

Not that they would work in Texas, but at least they would be entertaining. If he is so committed to his cause, why not relish the chance to fight for it in court? In his election ads, he should be barred for saying anything like, "I'll fight for you" without the disclaimer, "*unless served with a subpoena".
