Since the huge hurricane is the result of climate change

in rebuilding what has been destroyed it should be rebuilt as renewable clean energy such as solar, wind and hydrogen.
New ev and hydrogen charging stations instead of just a gas station that existed before.
Homes constructed with solar roofs etc...
justa thought.

Have a fire, rebuild, have another fire, rebuild. Endless cycle.

... they would literally be up in arms.

These people blame environmentalists and of course Gov Newsom for all the fires. See, if they were allowed to completely log all forests and graze the resulting land there would be nothing to burn.

I'm not kidding - see https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2022-09-28/climate-change-fuels-extremism-california-mountain-towns

Fuck you to California.
People must get out of harms way. We can most assuredly predict this level of disasters will happen again and again. That’s what happens when you worship money instead of caring about actual life.

I was friends with since college "unfriended" me in 2016 since she decided her "dear leader" was the new messiah and sent my Christmas card back to me since I didn't agree. She lives in the town that just burned down (Weed, CA) again. That whole area is VERY Red and they hate Biden. I have no sympathy for her, her town or her poor choices. Another fire will come and they will have the same attitude and beg for $$$ to rebuild.

A hundred years. People have to recognize that storms are so much more severe than they used to be. The thing missing from all of these conversations is the climate crisis.
A good friend of mine has a daughter who was a teacher in the town at the time of the fire. (She’s a liberal) but she almost didn’t get out. Lost her car, it was awful. I know it’s easy for us to not care, but there are some of us in every place in this country.
This will cause some people to migrate.

various scientists over the news today discussing global migration as climate change becomes real for any people around the globe. I feel badly for the animals who can't migrate and adapt fast enough as they suffer more and more. It reals my heart. People will never change (unless forced to). The poor animals are the true victims to our human greed and stupidity.
