Washington Post: “With a tough midterm election about six weeks away, many Democrats have largely settled on a campaign message, and it’s not one that simply emphasizes their accomplishments. Instead, it amounts to a stark warning: If Republicans take power, they will establish a dystopia that cripples democracy and eviscerates abortion rights and other freedoms.”

Said former Rep. Steve Israel (D-NY): “When you are the in-party in the midterms — like the Democrats are now — and the wind is blowing against you, you have to ride every advantageous breeze you can find. And the Democrats have found those breezes in the Dobbs decision and in Donald Trump.”

Simply SHUT UP about strategy and stick to the actual fight on the issues.

Discussing strategy ALWAYS sounds like opportunism, never sincerity.

Supreme Court super majority installed by fascists.

Nah. We need to run on earned income tax credits and prescription drug insurance.

Apocalypse now: Democrats embrace a dark midterm message

Almost as scary as those endless stories on gas prices, supply shortages, rainbow fentanyl and the hoards of immigrants on our southern border.

Meanwhile the GOP has become literally fascist.

So, yeah, Washington Post. These are dark fucking times. If we don't defeat them in November, things will get really bad really fast.

To those folks, TFG was a useful idiot.
They don't like him, don't trust him & know he can't be relied upon.
They got lucky that this idiot won by accident & are lucky beneficiaries. But, nobody is really a buddy of that buffoon.

And presenting the choice: Do you want to see Social Security and Medicare repealed? Do you want to see the Affordable Care Act repealed? Do you want to see the concept of majority rules overturned? Do you want women to continue to be a second, inferior class of citizens, denied the right to make their own medical decisions? Because these are all - ALL - policies that Republicans are articulating and campaigning on. If that sounds "dark," at least be honest about where the darkness is coming from.
