Biden tells Al Sharpton he will run for president again in 2024

This is a good move by President Biden. If TFG is not in jail and even if TFG is in jail, Biden is the best candidate. Joe Biden has been an amazing POTUS and has accomplished far more that I thought was possible

WASHINGTON — President Joe Biden told Rev. Al Sharpton that he will seek a second term in a private conversation at the White House last month, the civil rights leader informed his National Action Network staff in Washington later that day.

“I’m going to do it again,” Biden said as he posed for a photograph with Sharpton, who is also an MSNBC host, in the Roosevelt Room, according to a NAN official who recounted Sharpton’s description. “I’m going.”

While Biden allies have said he will seek re-election, he has shied away from declaring that unequivocally, at least in part to avoid triggering campaign-finance reporting laws. His remarks to Sharpton at the tail end of a meeting with the leaders of several of the nation's most prominent civil rights organizations represent a stronger assertion that he will be on the ballot again.

NBC News has reached out to the White House for comment on Biden's intentions.

In 2020, Black voters were the key to Biden’s comeback in the Democratic primary, helping him win the pivotal South Carolina contest after he failed to take first place in the first three races in Iowa, New Hampshire and Nevada. Three days later, Biden's overwhelming support among Black voters propelled him to an insurmountable delegate lead on Super Tuesday.

President Biden runs in 2024, and some feel empowered to challenge him.

There are a few candidates who can attract independents, and President Biden is one of them.

When did Clinton, Bush, and Obama announce? My guess would be around the February a year before the election (so February 2023 for Biden)?

Many are Republicans. Many are far left Green Party types. Some are Democrats that don't realize how Biden not running would almost guarantee a Republican president in 2025.

If Biden doesn't run for a second term, whatever Democrat takes his place will still have to run on and defend what happened during Biden's first term, and yet they will have none of the benefits of being an incumbent; furthermore, it will inevitably be a contentious primary to select his replacement, which means that there will be dissension among the ranks and all that entails.

I'm not one to predict the future, but in short, if Biden doesn't run, Democrats almost assuredly will lose the White House.

PS - Based on this reporting, I think anyone that brings up Biden not running in 2024 or who should possibly replace him etc. be alerted on for not supporting Democrats and everyone should vote to hide their post. Not doing so is just doing the work of people that do not want a Democrat to win the White House in 2024.
