Because they care about making more white babies very deeply. They also care about controlling women. For years people have said republicans don't really want to abolish abortion, they just want to use it as an issue. Those people were wrong, the republicans want to abolish all freedoms, and impose their religious beliefs on the governing of this country. What republicans don't care about is lying and cheating to win - in that respect all they care about is winning.
