Why even rebut the ravings of Republicans?

It's as easy as employing the array of logical fallacies, starting with using speculation as fact.

1. No one should even try. The proper way to deal with it is like with a child.

Dismiss it. Correct it. Shut it down. Dont waste a lot of time on it.

2. If it's an in-person public thing, there is one good reason.

The people overhearing it.

The MAGAt jackasses will never be convinced, but the other people in lines, at the gym, in the grocery store or wherever, NEED to hear that rebuttal.

As the post above says, make the rebuttal, dismiss the BS as the garbage it is and move on. It is important.

Otherwise, too much of the inattentive public will hear the rightwing BS and think it's right, and assume everyone else agrees with it because no one said otherwise.

3. I find it effective to simply ask them questions.

I don't argue with them. I just ask them questions and let them tie themselves into knots.

Example: What would Republicans do to lower food prices?
