A new Monmouth University poll on Thursday shows support for Josh Shapiro, the Democratic candidate for Pennsylvania governor, is strengthening among voters, as numbers for his far-right Republican opponent, Doug Mastriano, have largely remained unchanged since the last poll on the race three weeks ago.
Overall, 54 percent of voters say they support Shapiro, the state attorney general, compared to 38 percent for Mastriano, a state senator. A closer look at those responses show Shapiro with a larger bloc of voters who say they are definitely committed to voting for him, compared to those who say the same about Mastriano.
Among Shapiros supporters, about 40 percent say they will definitely vote for him, up from 33 percent in Monmouths earlier poll. Among Mastriano supporters in the latest poll, only 24 percent say they are definitely supporting him. Last month that figure was 21 percent.
Shapiro is also consolidating more votes among his party members than Mastriano whose far right Christian nationalism and work to overturn the 2020 election results sparked a backlash among local Republican leaders to oppose his candidacy.

People hate hate hate mastriano's cultists, and so are leaning left against oz, too. But some love fetterman, and listening to his endorsement of Shapiro. This is something all u.s. dem strategists should study.

So Fetterman's endorsement isn't the deciding factor.

In many of the prescincts Biden won in pa, the down tickets went red. So, it's a granular process. I'm sure Fetterman is getting lots of trump's voters.
