Hobbs is tied against a certifiably insane opponent, and Kelly is only up by +3.
If there is anywhere the GOP showed they will do anything they can to take an election, it's Arizona.
I live in NV and have been watching the GOP shenanigans in AZ. Ive contributed to Mark Kellys campaign, but right now Im focused on my state - Im scared that there will be a red sweep in NV. Polls show Gov Sisokak and Sen Cortez Masto trailing. Not sure what Ill do if they lose.
Im in Nevada as well and it seems we are inundated with a constant barrage of anti Cortez Masto ads and every ad on YouTube is a direct hit against her as well. I dont know why they arent doing more to counter the onslaught

(258 posts)Cortez Mastos fundraising totals beat Laxalt, but I have yet to see any of her ads on tv or YouTube!

(25 posts)Our gas prices here are pretty inflated; about $5.50 a gallon and going up. Voters voted on the gas tax for infrastructure and schools
but voters seemed to have forgotten that but of info..
Inflation is another major concern here.
I think abortion rights are the least concerning of the three.
Dems are getting pummeled with commercials and YouTube ads. I have no idea why there isnt a stronger/better response.

(4,298 posts)took a real toll on small counties of anti-vaxxers and anti-maskers. If whole hospitals took a hit and had to close, what do you think happened to the populations there? AND the natural disasters that have occurred in those area since 2020 have left many homeless or at least without permanent residences. How many found time or even cared to register to vote and if they did was it verifiable?
Lots of stuff to think about outside the usual boxes and Venn diagrams.

(15,421 posts)If she did, she'd be up by 5-10.

(81,295 posts)She ceded the floor and the microphone and the bad images and the ability to respond and truth-check??????????
WHY?????
Whose idea was that?????

(15,421 posts)She will certainly regret it if Lake wins by 1 point. I am certain that Hobbs would have made Lake look stupid, and gone up in the polls.
Mr.Bill
(24,296 posts)because no matter what question you ask Lake, her response is eventually about the 2020 election being stolen.

(81,295 posts)You've GOTTA be there to at least respond, especially if your response is gonna kick 'em in the knees and knock 'em down.
What a disappointment! WHO THE FUCK IS ADVISING HER CAMPAIGN? A closet Republican? WORLD-CLASS level of bad advice.
Sorry to shout, but I'm just beyond pissed off about this!!!
NEVER MISS A NANOSECOND of getting your face, your voice, and your slogans on the air! Or in print! Not EVER! It's the political Eleventh Commandment!
What a total fuck-up. So I'll say it: if this is the way she runs for office, or if she's surrounded herself with advisors who tell her to do this shit and react/respond this way, then maybe she deserves not to win. Because those same people advising her would probably follow her into the statehouse with their bad advice. I really and sincerely hate to say this. Because I'm still gonna vote for her, ANYWAY. No way am I gonna not bother and not vote.
Because I HAVE TO vote for the Democrat. Period. Any default of any sort favors the bad guys. Anything else will give a free unearned run to the bad guys. I WILL vote and WILL be voting for her. There's just no other way to go. NONE.

Hobbs will not be there.
lees1975
(3,859 posts)That might be part of the problem. But, it was close in 2020, in the presidential election and it likely will be this time around, though Lake and Masters haven't had quite enough time since the primaries to alienate a lot of people yet. They will.
This is good reason for Arizona Democrats to turn out and vote.

(33,580 posts)when you have counties in AZ where the election officials think it is their duty to make sure the Republican wins?
