JUST IN: US District Judge Glenn Suddaby, a George W. Bush appointee, halts enforcement of much of New York's 2022 gun law, passed in the wake of last SCOTUS term's Bruen decision. Suddaby put the order on hold for 3 days to allow the state to go to the 2nd Circuit.

The Bruen decision was a absolute disaster for gun control. The review standard set by it opens up many gun laws to challenges they likely won't survive.

That was bound to be struck down by any judge, and would never survive a SC challenge.
