I called Apple Care. Long story short, the advisor needed to call me back in an hour. I confirm my phone number. She asks me what time zone I am in. I say "Maryland." She says "Oh, same time. I'm in Georgia."
I say "Please please please vote for Rafael Warnock." She tells me I am about the fifth person today to say the same kind of thing!
We laugh. She says "Don't worry. We're smart in Georgia."
More laughing.
Then I say "And don't forget Stacy Abrams. PLEASE don't forget Stacy Abrams!!"
"I gotcha covered!" she says.

(46,051 posts)If you feel comfortable talking to strangers, you might consider making calls for the DNC. Most people who don't want to talk to you simply hang up. Occasionally, you have a great conversation with someone. I had a Republican never-Trumper who planned to vote for Cortez Masto and was looking at other Dems on my last shift. He told me his biggest concern now was climate change.

(23,350 posts)When you power it back up, things should improve; they'll then vote for Warnock.
Rebooting works.

(81,304 posts)In this case, you just reinforced an already-good decision. There is NOTHING wrong with that.
Just remember, we're more or less in the home stretch of the campaign. The ads are all over everywhere. The commercials are on high-rotation every doggone day. Even throughout the wee hours! I'm sick and tired of hearing from the alleged Democrat who thinks I should vote for the Republican for governor this time. Are you fucking KIDDING ME???
All I know, including the local races where people I've never heard of are running for all kinds of county commissioners and city managers and so forth. If I'm not sure, I check for the "D". And I go that way - all the way down the ballot.
You get an "A" when you vote for a "D"! (Hmmmm... kinda has a nice ring to it!)
