Thursday I issued a challenge to raise a little over $100 for Patty Pansing-Brooks. I stated I would add $50 IF that goal was reached. We had a generous contribution of $1,000 come in yesterday.
Patty is running for Congress in the first district of Nebraska. She lost a special election in June by just a couple percentage points. She had the best showing for a D since 1964. That was just four days after Roe was overturned. Most early ballots were already dropped off. Between Roe and the minimum wage being on the ballot, this will turn out Democrats and Independents.
My point is this is a winnable race. The opponent is scared. He is running new attack ads that include a huge lie.
