Why Aren't Sitting U.S. Senators Mortified, Embarassed & Speaking Out About The Potential Of....

having a mentally diminished ex-football player running for a Senate seat that could possibilly wind up winning and joining the elite group of 100?

Walker will bring down the status of all the Senators if he somehow eeks out a win.

If I was one of the 100 I'd be livid that such a person could run for such an office.

And we'd be stuck with this guy for 6 years. A lot of damage could be done by Walker that I don't believe could think his way out of a paper bag.

In a way I feel sorry for Walker. He sustained many hits to the head playing football and the Repugs put him in a very unfortunate situation.

What were the Repugs thinking putting this guy up?

I hope the people of GA can see thru the Repugs stunt. They will not be represented in their best interest. Surely the Repugs have more qualified candidates they could have supported.

and when people accuse the party of racist leanings they can point to not one but *two* Black senators.

The other football guy in the Senate, Tommy Tuberville, has been rather quiet lately: anyone know what's up with him

I don't think Herschel is as racist as Trump though.

and he won we would have six years of making him the face of the republican party in the Senate.

The reality is if he wins, and their control of the Senate doesn't hinge on his seat, They will get him to resign shortly. Maybe even before he is sworn in. The only use they have for him is holder of seat 51. If he is holder of seat #47, 48, 49, 50, or 52 they will kick him to the curb.

control of the Senate and figure they can control how Walker votes. It's most likely true that they can control his vote, but even McTurtle has hinted at "candidate quality", meaning IMO that he wants nothing to do with Walker and possibly Oz in Penn.

GA Democrats might want to make an issue of this.

The Fetterman campaign in PA is hammering Oz over living and voting in NJ. I haven’t seen anything like that in GA.

YEAH: "And we'd be stuck with this guy for 6 years. A lot of damage could be done by Walker WHO (emphasis added) I don't believe could think his way out of a paper bag."

When referring to human beings we use "who", not "that". "That" is reserved for things and animals.

TFG has always been a loose cannon. He's smarter than Walker in the sense that he's cunning and he knows what to do to get what he wants. Walker is too stupid - probably has CTE from football - to decide what to do about anything.

Mr. Walker, should he persevere, will fit in perfectly with the Graham, the Paul, the Cruz, the etc. list is hopelessly interminable, about 50 as I recollect. Is there a single one of them worthy of an honest man's vote? Capable of speaking the truth on a single subject without guile or motive?

I had hoped (not that it would have been a huge improvement) Republicans would gleefully search for a reason to impeach Trump early in his presidency, preferring to put Pence in charge.

But that never happened. They apparently like giving unstable, mentally deficient people power.
