MS. SUZE ORMAN: When the truth of the matter is that the rich are getting richer, the poor are getting poorer, and years ago I used to say the middle class is going to disappear, the middle class has disappeared. Today as I sit here there is a highway into poverty, there is not even a sidewalk anymore to get out.TRANSCRIPT:http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/46004652/ns/meet_the_press-transcripts/t/meet-press-transcript-jan/#.TxM2JKVAY1I

David Gregory slipped in (the above) clip from consumer-financial counselor, Suze Orman, as a way to challenge MTP guest Senate Leader Harry Reid, to lay his Class Warfare 'cards on the table'. To his credit Senator Reid was up to the challenge -- he adeptly called Gregory's bluff ...
MR. GREGORY: Specifically, State of the Union coming up, what is the inequality agenda for Democrats as we get into this new year?
SEN. REID: To create jobs, to have the richest of the rich contribute to the problems we have in the country, that's what our agenda is. And I couldn't have said it better than she did. I think she is absolutely right. The rich are getting richer, the poor are getting poorer and the middle class are being squeezed almost to death.

(23,272 posts)Orman has written that she doesn't believe anything is going to change until at least 2014 or 2015.
The full quote: "Orman does have some ideas about what needs to change, however. "America needs to come together. Those that have need to start working with those who don't. The 99 percenter thing is true. People should pay more attention. The middle class is disappearing and there's a highway into poverty and not even a sidewalk to get out. Everyone needs to start pitching in to help everyone they can, and we need to work together to pick everyone up by their bootstraps."

(25,183 posts)I've seen her take a lot of heat on this site, clearly she knows that there are people who have followed all the rules, yet still have found financial ruin. I've seen her go from rah-rah on the economy to truly sympathizing with people who cannot pursue the American dream because the economy sucks.
