I'm sure this is a nothingburger but her business partner has talked with the FBI and he turned over documents to them.

The shooting was targeted according to the article.

So, if the FBI is investigating this why do we want to deport her?

It read in part like a piss poor cut and paste job of a template filled with a lot of unknowns for answers, (possibly a Russian speaking individual) and in part looked like a google translator repeatedly clicked on a few too many times.

After all, we are talking about a common small-time con artist (it doesn't take an expert big-time con artist to get into Mar A Lago) getting her 15 minutes of fame. I would be surprised if anyone found anything about her that wasn't a piss-poor cut and paste job. Anyway, there is nothing within that piss-poor universe of references that would suggest she is eligible for deportation. Quite the contrary.

As far as FBI, it does not ordinarily involve itself in crimes committed abroad, and it would certainly not take the initiative to investigate a crime in Canada over the heads of Canadian authorities. That has nothing to do with the link.

As far as FBI's remit on international front, it's my understanding for a long time, they do have the authority to investigate international crimes, including Canada, involving individuals involved with the U.S. interests. Agencies work with Canadian agencies on a range of national interests and criminal activity. Organized crime etc.
